I'll need all advice and tips on traveling to and staying in Virginia Beach?
I'll be taking a 3 or 4 day trip to Virginia Beach with my best friend at the end of July. I need any and all information and experiences you know about Virginia Beach. Where to stay (we really want to be right on the beach and know we are poor college students so the most afforable is highly needed!) And also where to go for all the nightlife and restaurants. Maybe even some helpful hints on where and how to find afforable flights? I want this trip to be amazing so all information is appreciated! My best tip for a cheap hotel: stop at a rest stop along the highway (or look at the airport, hotels, or other tourist attractions). You're looking for these publications: Room$aver Traveler Discount Guide VA-DC-MD-West VA-DE Travel Coupons (travelcoupons.com) Official Interstate Guide FREE Hotel Travel $aving$ (www.theoig.com) Published quarterly, they're free and feature coupons for Virginia Beach lodging (actually, lodging throughout Virginia too). There are few catches on the coupons: 1) you have to have them in hand; 2) they're only good for walk-ins, so you run the risk of finding a "no vacancy" sign; 3) some coupons aren't good on holidays and weekends, or may have weekend surcharges (like an extra $10 per day). But if you're trying to save money and don't have to plan ahead, they can really help you save money on Virginia Beach lodging!
