Anyone know of a low-cost beach travel spot that is near Cincinnati somewhat?
Spring break is coming soon. I am looking for a beach that is close to greater Cincinnati and will be inexpensive. Maybe somewhere in virginia I mean that's the closest beach I can think of. If you know any good places that are beaches and are fun and I can go to that won't cost a lot of money please let me know. I'm looking for something about 5 hours or less away and If you know of a decent hotel nearby that doesn't cost a lot but is clean and nice please also list that. Links would be helpful.

10 hours away by car is Myrtle Beach North Carolina. Loads of young people go there for Spring break. I stayed at a campground with tent and trunk full of camping things, with my girlfriend.... a long time ago. There is no beach that is 5 hours away, except maybe Lake ERIE straight North. Don't overlook the little islands there (Put in Bay) that are also a great hangout for college students. between Toledo and Cleveland, but more to the west. You can always go up to Macinac Island in Michigan. Or Put in Bay on Lake Erie. There is Virginia Beach in Virginia. There is The Outer Banks in North Carolina, which is much nicer than Myrtle or Virginia beaches, but is somewhat secluded- pretty much just good restaurants and beaches outside of Nags Head. I also like Hilton Head or Tybee Island, in Georgia. They are also abotu 12 hours drive since they are pretty much straight down I75, and they are also much nicer than Virginia or Myrtle beaches. Myrtle beach does have nice beaches, but its also miles and miles of cheesy tourist crap too
